Admission Information to Governor’s School Summer Program

The Governor’s School of North Carolina is the oldest statewide summer residential program for some of North Carolina’s most academically gifted and talented high school students. The six week program is open to juniors, with exceptions made for sophomores applying in the performing/visual arts areas.
To be eligible, applicants must present aptitude or achievement scores at or above 92 percent, and must commit to attend the entire six weeks. Scholarships are available.
An informational program will be presented at Meredith College, at Jones Chapel, at 6:00 p.m. Monday, October 2nd.
The complete nomination packet will be available at the North Carolina Governors School website, here. Completed applications should be submitted to Student Services Office by 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 9th. Late submissions will not be accepted.
