If your student is in a club, is a non-senior who missed the first picture day on September 13th, or a non-senior who is willing to pay to retake their picture, get them dressed up and ready to go on Wednesday, October 18th, because thats Club, Makeup, and Retake Pictures Day (Catchy, right). Make sure that your student is in attendance to ensure that their pictures get taken and they get into the yearbook.
On Monday, October 16, the PTSA is having it’s monthly meeting. If possible, we would like for all members to attend. The PTSA thrive on participation from all sides so it would be great if you and maybe even your student could make it.
Families can apply for free and reduce priced meals annually and their students receive benefits for 30 days into the next school year. For traditional calendar school families who received free and reduce priced meals last year, the 2016-17 benefits will expire Friday, October 6. WCPSS Child Nutrition Services asks that families be sure to apply now for 2017-18 benefits. The process is even easier now with online applications for free and reduced price school meals. Wake ID is a website that allows you to directly log into your student account in other websites that WCPSS has partnered with to provide a strong digital foothold for students to interact with. It gives your student access to their WCPSS Outlook email, Google student account, Google Classroom, Canvas, Gale Resources, SAS Curriculum Pathways, and WakeVue. An opportunity for families in Wake County to explore Early Colleges available for application. Early College Middle and High Schools help students get a head start on college while they earn their high school diploma. It’s time to register for the MCHS SAT Prep Course. The course begins on October 16, 2017 and ends on November 27, 2017. It is offered on Mondays from 4:00-7:00 PM and offered by MCHS teachers. The cost of the course is $150.00 and can be paid online via the MCHS website. Payments of cash, check, or money order can be paid before or after school to Mr. Matteau in room 310.
