The school will post a list of students earning a place on the “A/B Honor Roll and the “All A Honor Roll.” Students on the “All A Honor Roll” will receive a ticket to the Honor Roll Breakfast. The Honor Roll breakfast will be held Tuesday November 14th. Students will enjoy Krispy Kreme doughnuts and assorted snacks. NC College Application Month is an annual event to support high school seniors in completing three important college enrollment steps: Residency, FAFSA, and applications. The 2017 event runs from October 28th through November 24th. Activities begin with FAFSA Day on October 28th, and lead toward the week of November 13th – 17th when volunteers at hundreds of NC high schools will help students submit online applications for admission. The annual Catalyst Conference brings a select group of approximately 100 high school students from North Carolina high schools to UNC-Chapel Hill for a weekend-long exploration and discussion of social justice issues impacting North Carolina youth. Participants will face a challenging task: They will be asked to view the world through the eyes of others and to learn about the underlying similarities that connect us all. The theme for this year is “Within Reach” Calling all artists, poets, songwriters, photographers. It’s time to submit your work of art in this year’s Reflections Art Contest. An opportunity for families in Wake County to explore Early Colleges available for application. Early College Middle and High Schools help students get a head start on college while they earn their high school diploma. It’s time to register for the MCHS SAT Prep Course. The course begins on October 16, 2017 and ends on November 27, 2017. It is offered on Mondays from 4:00-7:00 PM and offered by MCHS teachers. The cost of the course is $150.00 and can be paid online via the MCHS website. Payments of cash, check, or money order can be paid before or after school to Mr. Matteau in room 310.
